LOUIS, MO – October 6, 2026 (STL.News) A former St. Louis Catholic priest who served federal prison time after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography has been arrested and detained in a federal supervised-release proceeding. William F. Vatterott was arrested September 23, 2026, according to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. The arrest occurred more than 13 years after Vatterott pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and received a 37-month federal prison sentence.
